Forty years before skinematic siren Charlize Theron was born in South Africa, the country gave birth to Sheila Steafel. Instead of moving to the United States as Charlize did, Sheila resided in the United Kingdom. There, the actress carved out an impressive career filled with resumé boosting (and boner-inducing) roles. After training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, the sexy thespian showed off her comic timing on The Frost Report (1966-1967), The World of Beachcomber (1968), Horne A’Plenty (1968-1969), and Cribbins (1970). Through the years, the busy beauty could be seen (Bluebirds, Honky Tonk Heroes) and heard (SuperTed, Q5, Super Gran) on several series. Even though she remained clothed, Sheila revealed her … range on sitcoms (You Must Be the Husband, Second Time Around, Some Matters of Little Consequence) and dramatic shows (Doctors, Holby City).
